Since September 10, 2025, the IC API Direct (servicing branch customers) has introduced a new field called „gtuCode” in the endpoint GET/catalog/products.
Since September 10, 2025, the IC API Direct (servicing branch customers) has introduced a new field called „gtuCode” in the endpoint GET/catalog/products.
GTU codes are special designations assigned to selected groups of goods and services subject to special tax control in Poland. In the automotive sector, the most important groups are GTU_07, covering deliveries of vehicles and automotive parts, and GTU_06 for electronics.
The main business value of implementing the gtuCode field in the API is to ensure data consistency between what the API returns and what the polish customer sees on the invoice for their order. This change is particularly significant for clients who settle their accounts under the Polish tax system.
Visibility of GTU codes for a specific product in the IC API and e-Cat depends on whether the codes have been entered by the Product Custodian at Inter Cars.
